Terry Simmons has a diverse background, especially in the construction industries; high voltage power line construction, residential/commercial wiring, new home construction and remodeling, residential/commercial irrigation and landscaping.
While he has lived in the mountains for most of his adult life, he also spent eight seasons as an active wildland firefighter and many more in the study and observation of wildfire incidents. He received his Associates degree in Paralegal Studies from TVI in 2003 and an undergraduate degree from UNM in Training and Technology in 2009.
He began his career as a paralegal in 2003 and continues his community involvement as a volunteer firefighter with Torrance County and as a member of East Mountain Interagency Fire Protection Association (EMIFPA). He is married to a wonderful woman and together they have two wonderful children. He also has a grown son from a previous marriage.
He has a consuming love for the wilderness and spends as much time as possible in the mountains and other wild places. He also received a Presidential Commendation in 1972 for service to others. He has spent his entire paralegal career in the service of the injured.
